An Apple Wedding – Oakes Fields

Hi Everyone!!

I was inspired by Cassandra, so I thought I would go ahead and start one of my own, that mostly about the first years of being a wedding florist, but also life in general. I will start by posting my first weddings first, and then moving up from there. No real names will be used.

An Apple Wedding

My bride was a sweetheart, as well as my first one! Laid back, easy going, quick to book and very flexible. I actually called her and asked if I could put apples in her bouquet and she said “Sure!”. Really, if everyone who used me was this flexible, the sky would be the limit for creativity unleashed. Unfortunately, she is one of what I am sure will be very, very few. The wedding designing and dropping off could not have gone smoother…which worried me. Cindy did the amazing wraps…as always.

We used Red “Freedom” roses, Pink “Hot Latin” Roses, Mini-Green Hydrangea, Jade Berries, silk (Real are too heavy) apples, light pink oriental lilies, light pink mini-callas.
