Grant-Humphrey’s Wedding
So, back to the wedding – it was one of my favorites so far!! It was at the Grant-Humphrey’s Mansion, which is in old Denver, across the street from the Governor’s Mansion. It was kind of hard to find, but once you were there it was gorgeous. My favorite thing about the wedding was that the bride designed her colors, theme, etc around the mansion. It totally worked together. Her colors were gold, chocolate brown and a a teal/cobalt blue. The bridesmaid dresses were really awesome – I hope that this trend towards patterns continues.
We put the altar piece, which was white glads, white hydrangea, vendella roses, pitt and gold sticks on this fabulous gold antique table in the front. Her aisles had two bundles at the front to frame the aisle, with white rose petals in the middle.
Her bridesmaid bouquets were some of my favorites – they were vendella roses, pitt, white phlox and venduele, also known as fiddle heads, known to Cindy and I as alien tentacles. The bride (who kind of looked like Princess Jasmine in a Belle dress – she was breathtaking) had white hydrangea with white ranunculus, chocolate cosmos – which actually smell like cocoa!! – with stephanotis and gold twigs. The flower girl was also very cute with her little spray rose pomander.
